Camberwell Carrot (something organic in the Urban jungle...)
The Camberwell Carrot was formed in Volda, 1994. The musicians was back then: Gunhild Espeseth, vocals. Ingeborg Galaasen, bass. Nils Ole Vollan, lead guitar, Vilhelm Bjørnseth Guitar, Halvard Lunde, drums. They played live at local pubs, and made a long lost, brilliant demo. The demo was found in the spring of 2000, and released on single a few months later, under the label of the rock'n'roll legend, and, back then, CC-guitarist Vilhelm Bjønseth. People moved, and everbody thought the Camberwell Carrot was dead. But in 1998 the Camberwell Carrot had a local hit in Sogn og Fjordane, northwest part of Norway. The band was now based in Floroe, and was: Ragnheid Paulsen, vocals, Terje Kjørlaug, Guitar, Sigrid B.K. Lunde, Violin and Halvard Lunde, Bass. Exept for being played heavily on the radio-station, and releasing a song on a collectors CD, this Camberwell Carrot didn't make it too far either... Then, based in Bergen, 2000 a.c.the Camberwell Carrot once again sprouted. This time featuring Anders V. Jensen, percussion,Håvard on mouth-organs and Ivar Sværen, guitar and vocals. The violinist and the bass-player are still Sigrid and Halvard Lunde. So far only heard by their first single... But hey, 2000 is NOW!!! |
